Bandstand Park

Bandstand Park is a magical, interactive play for pre-school children. Site specific, it will tour traditional bandstands along the South West coast in summer 2015, introducing young children to these much loved icons of British heritage. The charm of the bandstand location and the lively, clear storyline blend to create a warm, engaging world that introduces fresh experiences to the important early years' audience. The play was inspired by Cheltenham's Regency bandstand, the oldest in the country, just minutes away from the Everyman Theatre.
With a cast of two, plus Roland the Hedgehog, it is written by Miranda Walker, a specialist early years author and member of the Everyman's Writers' Lab.
