'Coram Boy' - Jenny Wren Productions
Jenny Wren Productions present a large-scale production of Jamila Gavin's epic tale of friendship and love, sacrifice and betrayal, parents and children, in 18th century Gloucestershire and performed in the very place where it is set, Gloucester Cathedral, by a large community cast and choir made up of adults and children.
Alexander Ashbrook is heir to the magnificent Ashbrook Estate, but he would rather study music at Gloucester Cathedral and work with the composer, Handel. Otis Gardiner, a local tinker, is - unbeknownst to the Ashbrook family - using the Ashbrook Estate for some very dark deeds. Two young boys who have grown up in a London orphanage are sent out to work for the first time. Each of them is unaware that their lives are deeply entwined, and many secrets come to light as the drama unfolds.
